Our Story
Organizing the second anual 5K for Kappie was not only a professional achievement but also a deeply personal one. Held in honor of a dear friend, this race benefitted Cure Childhood Cancer, a non-profit organization whose mission is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through funding targeted research while supporting patients and their families devastated by a childhood cancer diagnosis. I led fundraising initiatives, participant recruitment, marketing efforts, and event logistics. Under my leadership I achieved the following:
-
Increased fundraising revenue from $65,000 to $96,000, a 48% increase from the previous year.
-
Boosted participant sign-ups from 800 to 1,200, a 50% increase in turnout.
-
Expanded event visibility by 35% through strategic social media marketing.
-
Partnered with local businesses to increase community awareness and host percentage-based fundraising events, further driving donations and engagement.
